Good time of day to you Mr Spode Transept! There didn’t seem to be an obvious way to send a message directly to you, so I hope this does the trick.
I’m not sure how I ended up at this site, but I had been following links through various blogs etc. about proper computers (they don’t make proper ones any longer). I was rather surprised on recognising your name.
I hope you are well and keeping moderately busy doing exciting things. I won’t write an essay here about what I’ve been doing, but I am having an extended break from full time work after spending almost nine years rushing (umm, waiting on broken down trains) to and from Docklands three or four days per week. I am being kept rather busy selling ZX Spectrum RAM modules (the demand has been good) and doing (paid for) vintage (umm, proper) computer repairs!
Mr Phalanx, a name I have not heard in years! I have certainly not gone by the name ‘Spode Transept’ in some time.
Rather splendid to see you are making Spectrum RAM replacements. I’m still collecting proper computers and have quite a few now. You may actually be able to point me in the right direction with a ZX81 and Spectrum that are a little poorly.
I shall drop you a line via email with more details, but things are going well!!
Only slight problem is that I don’t remember your real name, but that’s solvable!
